Flis Marriott secures fourth place in para dressage national final

Para dressage rider Flis Marriott, 44, from Bodmin, secured fourth place in her first Grade 1 Gold (Grand Prix B) national final. Marriott, who has been tetraplegic since a 2008 spinal injury, competes alongside her horse, Seran.

Marriott previously achieved triple national championship status in 2023 across bronze, silver, and bronze dressage to music classes. Her recent fourth-place finish in the summer gold competition placed her alongside international, GB squad, and Paralympic riders.

As a GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) athlete, Marriott utilizes funding for equipment and competition costs, as well as access to leisure facilities for physical and mental training. In addition to dressage, she has recently begun practicing bench rest target shooting to maintain focus and competitiveness.
