Félix Antonio Barrio Juárez to lead La Encina festivities

Félix Antonio Barrio Juárez, the Director General of the National Cybersecurity Institute (Incibe), has been named the honorary herald for the 2026 La Encina festivities in Ponferrada. The announcement was made by Mayor Marco Morala, recognizing Barrio's professional trajectory in technology and innovation.

Barrio, a native of Ponferrada, has held strategic roles in digital transformation and cybersecurity. The official proclamation will take place on Saturday, August 29, at 21:30 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, marking the start of twelve days of celebrations.
