Flix Group expands mobility services with Hungarian domestic bus routes and international rail growth

FlixBus has launched domestic ticket sales in Hungary, expanding its service to include 41 routes connecting 14 Hungarian cities. This move allows passengers to travel between major regional cities, Budapest, and Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport without transfers. The expansion aims to provide affordable and sustainable domestic mobility for both residents and tourists, marking a significant change for the Hungarian market where the company had previously only offered international connections.

Simultaneously, FlixTrain, the rail division of Flix Group, is focusing on international expansion to attract millions of new passengers to rail travel. Following the introduction of new Siemens Vectron locomotives to support its Talgo train sets, the company is looking beyond its established German operations to grow its presence in broader European markets.
