Félix Nova demands accountability over Monseñor Nouel ecotourism funds

Former Senator Félix Nova has publicly denounced alleged irregularities regarding the administration of funds for the Monseñor Nouel Provincial Ecotourism Council. Nova holds current Senator Héctor Acosta, known as ‘El Torito’, responsible for the paralysis of local ecotourism projects.

According to Nova, when he handed over administration of the entity in 2020, it included over three million pesos in cash and a fixed annual budget allocation of 15 million pesos. He claims there has been no accountability regarding the execution of these resources or the planned works for local tourism development.

Due to the current administration's alleged refusal to provide financial reports and management updates, Nova has filed a lawsuit with the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) to request access to public information. He stated that the lack of proper resource utilization has stalled the economic and tourism progress projected for the province.
