Flixbus expands Baltic bus routes for budget summer trips

Flixbus Vice‑President for Central and Eastern Europe Mihails Lemans said that despite a complex geopolitical climate and economic pressures, European travellers continue to seek affordable holidays. The company has widened its bus network to include short‑haul routes from Latvia’s Liepāja to popular Baltic coastal and lakeside destinations, allowing passengers to reach the sites at lower cost than flying.

Key stops highlighted are Rummu quarry in Estonia, known for its turquoise waters; the seaside town of Pärnu, dubbed the “Baltic Ibiza”; the medieval‑styled lakeside resort of Vīlande, also in Estonia; and Lithuania’s port city of Klaipėda and its nearby Palanga beach. Trips are often combined with personal bike transport, enabling easier local travel and recreational cycling.

The promotion emphasizes the region’s milder summer climate, reduced tourist crowds compared with Southern Europe, and the convenience of Flixbus connections for weekend getaways.
