Flo Hyman Classic volleyball concludes with UTSA and Houston victories

The Flo Hyman Classic concluded at the Fertitta Center with notable performances from regional volleyball programs.

UTSA Volleyball secured its eighth consecutive victory by defeating Texas State in a five-set rivalry match. The Roadrunners won the contest 15-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-12, 15-8, marking their first win in the Battle for I-35 since 2017. UTSA improved to a 9-2 season record following the comeback.

In another matchup, the University of Houston swept Houston Christian in straight sets to finish their non-conference schedule. The Cougars won 25-14, 25-19, and 25-18. Key contributors for Houston included Noemi Despaigne with 12 kills and Aidan Conner, who recorded seven blocks.
