Floki’s Valhalla game launches Special Delivery patch

The blockchain-based role-playing game Valhalla, the flagship title from Floki, has released patch v1.13.2, titled ‘Special Delivery’, to its mainnet. The update introduces several structural changes to gameplay and account management.

Key updates include a simplified account system that allows players to sign in using Google, WeChat, email, or phone numbers, replacing the previous requirement for split accounts and private-key backups. The in-game mail system has been redesigned to deliver rewards directly to a player's inbox, removing manual collection steps. Additionally, chest drop rates have increased from 50% to 100%.

Combat mechanics have also been overhauled. The ‘Battle Arsenal’ preparation step and the ‘Vera Condition’ system have been removed to streamline the transition to battle. Under the new patch, Vera creatures start with their full set of species-specific abilities, and the stat penalties—which could reduce stats by up to 50% following losses in ranked or tournament matches—have been eliminated. The update also improves the readability of tile selection on the hex-grid battlefield.
