Flooding and fatal accidents reported in Misiones and Entre Ríos
In Misiones, heavy rains have caused significant disruptions to road and river travel. While national routes 12 and 14 have returned to normal circulation and four border crossings on the Uruguay River are open, several local passages remain closed. Specifically, bridges over the Yabebiry and Pindaytí streams are closed, and access to Moconá Provincial Park remains interrupted due to the Yabotí stream. River levels show varying trends: the Uruguay River is descending, while levels in Eldorado and Puerto Rico on the Paraná River continue to rise.
In Concordia, an 81-year-old woman, identified as Berta Blanca Castillo, died after being struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred near the intersection of San Lorenzo Avenue and Nogoyá Street. Following the impact, the victim was transported to Delicia Concepción Masvernat Hospital with head trauma and multiple injuries. Despite resuscitation efforts, she suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and passed away.
