Flooding challenges persist in Manila Bay and Lagos

While the state government has approved dredging works on 28 primary channels following floods in June 2026, experts suggest that government infrastructure alone is insufficient. Addressing the issue requires tackling illegal dumping and the blockage of drainage systems by refuse, highlighting a need for shared responsibility between state authorities and residents.
