Floor Jansen announces solo metal album ‘Hytress’

Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen has announced her second solo studio album, titled ‘Hytress’, scheduled for release on January 15, 2027. The project will be released under REVAMP Music and Warner Music.

Moving away from the pop-leaning and dramatic style of her 2023 debut, ‘Paragon’, Jansen intends for ‘Hytress’ to be a heavier, more direct metal record. She aims to establish a sound that is distinct from her work with Nightwish, intentionally avoiding the monumental orchestrations and symphonic elements associated with the band. The new material is expected to draw influence from the sounds of bands such as Gojira, Periphery, and Bleed From Within, focusing on heavy guitar work and powerful rhythms.
