Flor Denis Ruiz wins silver in Lausanne Diamond League javelin
Colombian javelin thrower Flor Denis Ruiz secured a silver medal at the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ruiz recorded a throw of 64.29 meters, finishing just 61 centimeters behind the winner, Haruka Kitaguchi of Japan, who achieved 64.90 meters. Serbian athlete Adriana Vilagoš took third place with 62.28 meters.
This performance guarantees Ruiz a spot in the Diamond League final, which is scheduled to take place in Brussels, Belgium, on September 4 and 5. This marks her third consecutive appearance in the season finals. Ruiz enters the final following a strong season that included a gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.
