Florence hosts 10th Italian Chef Charity Night to support UNHCR
The 10th edition of the Italian Chef Charity Night is returning to Florence, hosted on the rooftop of The Social Hub Belfiore. The event features prominent names from Tuscan cuisine and highlights the work of two refugee chefs currently living in Italy, Nuha Saegh and Hamed Mohamad Karim.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), specifically targeting programs designed to combat malnutrition among displaced populations. Additionally, the event includes a €15,000 scholarship provided by Alessio Tessieri to support a young refugee pursuing professional culinary training. The initiative is promoted by Il Forchettiere and organized by Atelier di Narrazione, with official patronage from the Municipality of Florence and the Tuscany Region.
