Florence hosts Pitti Filati 99 and Pitti Bimbo 103 fashion trade fairs

The Fortezza da Basso in Florence will host two major Pitti Immagine events in late June 2026. Pitti Filati 99 runs from 24‑26 June, gathering 119 exhibitors from Italy and abroad to present yarn and knitting innovations and set the tone for the 2027‑28 autumn‑winter season. The fair’s theme, “The Pitti Loom,” highlights the loom as a symbol of textile creation, with a visual campaign featuring a wool‑thread transforming into industrial structures.

Pitti Bimbo 103 takes place on 24‑25 June, featuring 112 brands showcasing spring‑summer 2027 collections for children. New spaces such as The New Edit and The Cabina focus on research‑driven and experimental labels. The event underscores a modest market recovery, noting a 20% rise in Florence’s fashion exports and a sector that employs about 50,000 people in the province.

Both fairs underline Florence’s role as a key hub for Italian fashion, drawing participants from the UK, Japan, China, the United States and other countries, and providing networking, sustainability and technology showcases for the industry.
