Florence Mayor signs Confesercenti urban regeneration proposal

Florence Mayor Sara Funaro has signed a popular legislative proposal titled ‘Measures for the urban regeneration of commerce and proximity services’ launched by Confesercenti. The initiative is supported by both the Municipality of Florence and the Metropolitan City of Florence.

The proposal aims to combat commercial desertification and promote neighborhood shops and local services. Mayor Funaro emphasized the connection between protecting local commerce and residential stability, noting that accessible services are essential for making urban neighborhoods livable and attractive.

The signing ceremony included various representatives from Confesercenti, including national president Nico Gronchi and regional directors, as well as local economic development officials.
