Lucas Sugo's daughter Florencia dies at 23 after cancer battle

Florencia Victoria Sugo Da Rosa, the 23-year-old daughter of renowned Uruguayan singer Lucas Sugo, has passed away following a battle with cancer. The news was confirmed by the artist's manager, Diego Sorondo, and Sentimientos Producciones.

Florencia, a medical student, had been fighting an oncological disease since early 2025. Her treatment journey included medical care in Uruguay and Brazil, and most recently, participation in a clinical trial in Boston, United States, targeting the KRAS G12D genetic mutation. Despite these efforts, the disease progressed aggressively.

In response to the tragedy, Lucas Sugo has suspended and rescheduled his upcoming musical performances in Argentina, specifically shows in Chaco (Las Breñas and Charata) and Santa Fe (Las Toscas), to be with his family. The death has caused significant mourning within the Rioplatense music community and among his many followers.
