Florentino Pérez pushes Real Madrid tech district and ownership restructure

President Florentino Pérez announced a 850,000‑square‑metre Madrid Innovation District near IFEMA and the airport, aimed at turning the capital into a southern‑Europe tech hub. The plan, expected to add about €1.2 billion to the regional GDP and create thousands of jobs, awaits land‑reclassification until 2026. Pérez also created Real Madrid Madridistas SL, a new holding company that will manage club assets and facilitate a proposed ownership model in which a private investor could acquire 5‑10 % of the club while the remaining shares stay with the socios, pending an assembly and referendum.
