Floresta and Fabrizia launch summer events to boost tourism in Italy

In the Sicilian town of Floresta, mayor Antonio Stroscio unveiled a programme of concerts, music, and entertainment for August, building on the success of the recent patron saint festival that featured performers such as Lorenzo Fragola, Enrico Ruggeri and Gianni Celeste. The schedule aims to attract visitors, including motor‑bike enthusiasts who frequent the area.

Meanwhile, the Calabrian village of Fabrizia is promoting a cultural itinerary called the “Fiabe di Esopo” (Aesop’s Fables), where illustrated murals turn the historic centre into an open‑air museum. The project highlights themes of friendship, wisdom and solidarity, and is complemented by the surrounding forests, hiking trails and the newly opened Barco B&B, which began operating on 7 August.

Both towns are using these initiatives to draw tourists, showcase local heritage and stimulate their economies during the summer season.
