Florian Coldea becomes sole shareholder of Strategic Assets

Florian Coldea, the former deputy director of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), has become the sole shareholder of the business consultancy firm Strategic Assets SRL. This change occurred in August 2026 after his former associate, retired General Dumitru Cocoru, transferred his social parts to Coldea.

Financial reports indicate a decline in the profitability of the companies co-founded by Coldea and Cocoru. Strategic Assets SRL reported a profit of 423,500 lei in 2025, a decrease of approximately 53.6% compared to its 2024 profit of 912,079 lei. Additionally, the associated firm Strategic Sys SRL, which was previously profitable with a net profit of 1,843,307 lei in 2024, reported a loss of 87,450 lei in 2025.

Dumitru Cocoru has also stepped down from his role as administrator. Coldea’s business activities follow legal scrutiny; in 2025, he was indicted by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) alongside several others on charges including organized crime, influence peddling, and money laundering.
