Florian Kohfeldt rebukes reporter over refereeing queries

Darmstadt 98 manager Florian Kohfeldt confronted a reporter during a press conference after his team's match against Hannover 96. The confrontation occurred following a controversial red card issued to defender Aleksandar Vukotić for a handball that prevented a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

Despite the dismissal, Kohfeldt maintained that the referee's decision must be accepted. He expressed frustration with the reporter, stating, “Please stop trying to extract statements about referees from me. That is not my way.” Kohfeldt noted that he has rarely criticized officiating during his two years in the second division.

Darmstadt 98 currently sits at the bottom of the table after failing to secure a victory in their first three matches of the season, though the team performed competitively despite playing with ten men for over 70 minutes.
