Florian Lixandru under investigation for 2 million lei in contracts

Florian Lixandru, head of the Bucharest School Inspectorate, is under investigation by the National Integrity Agency (ANI) regarding public contracts totaling over 2 million lei.

Reports indicate that since the beginning of 2026, companies and an association linked to Lixandru’s former business partner, Gabriel Dumitru, have secured 55 public contracts. These contracts, valued at approximately 2.2 million lei (425,000 euros), were primarily awarded through direct acquisition procedures, which do not require competitive bidding.

One recipient, AlfaServ PRO SRL, obtained nearly 1.2 million lei through 29 contracts in the first half of 2026. Additionally, the ARTIST Association received over 500,000 lei for educational workshops and summer programs at various schools and kindergartens. Investigations highlight that the estimated values for these contracts often matched the final contracted amounts exactly.
