Florian Niederlechner ends goal drought in TSV 1860 win

TSV 1860 München striker Florian Niederlechner ended a four-game goal drought during a 4-0 home victory against SpVgg Ansbach. Niederlechner scored via a header in the 58th minute of the match.

Following a strong start to the season with three goals and two assists, the striker had gone four matches without a goal contribution. Niederlechner noted the mental difficulty of the recent period, stating, “It has honestly been working in me, especially in the last two weeks.”

The player discussed his struggles with coach Alper Kayabunar earlier in the week after a previous loss to Burghausen. Niederlechner, who turns 36 in late October, celebrated the goal by kissing the club crest.
