Florian Zeller drama ‘Der Sohn’ scheduled for German theater seasons

The drama ‘Der Sohn’ by French author Florian Zeller is set to feature in upcoming theater productions in Germany. The play follows 17-year-old Nicolas as he struggles with the challenges of adolescence, parental separation, and mental health crises.

In Westerland, the Insel Sylt Tourismus-Service (ISTS) will launch its 2026/27 season on October 26 at the Alten Kursaal, featuring five different productions including ‘Der Sohn’. The ISTS offers a subscription service for regular attendees and discounted rates for local students.

Additionally, the Kleines Theater Bargteheide has scheduled a production of the play for October 27. Due to medical reasons, actor Hardy Krüger has had to withdraw from the initial tour block; Matthias Schloo will step into the role of Pierre to ensure the scheduled performances proceed as planned.
