Floriana defeats Sliema Wanderers 2-0 in Malta Premier

Floriana maintained a perfect start to the VBET Malta Premier season, securing their second consecutive victory with a 2-0 win over rivals Sliema Wanderers at the Centenary Stadium.

Dunstan Vella opened the scoring in the 37th minute, converting a low shot from the edge of the area following an assist from Yassine Jbira. Sliema Wanderers, coached by Branko Nisevic, struggled to find offensive rhythm, remaining without a goal or a point after two matches.

The match concluded with a decisive penalty in the 74th minute. Following a Football Video Support (FVS) review, referee Ezekiel Barbara awarded a penalty to Floriana after Carlo Zammit Lonardelli was brought down by Diego Camara. Paul Mbong converted the penalty to seal the victory for the Greens.
