Florianópolis and Campinas change traffic for winter race events
The municipal guard in Florianópolis announced that on Sunday the Beira‑Mar Continental avenue and the Colombo Salles bridge will be partially closed from 5 a.m. to accommodate the winter stage of the Circuito de Inverno. The 5 km and 10 km runs start at 6:30 a.m., with the longer course crossing the bridge, Avenida Gustavo Richard and returning the same way. Drivers are advised to use Waze, follow temporary signage and expect full reopening by 9 a.m.
In Campinas, the winter edition of the Circuito das Estações will host about 2 000 runners around the Lagoa do Taquaral. The race begins at 7 a.m. from the former kartodrome area, with 5 km and 10 km loops. The city will implement a special traffic operation, closing the internal lane of Avenida Dr. Heitor Penteado and restricting nearby parking and access points. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes, with mobility teams on site to direct traffic.
