Florianópolis Children's Film Festival launches Brazilian audiovisual mapping survey
The 25th Mostra de Cinema Infantil de Florianópolis has launched a national research initiative to map the children's and youth audiovisual sector in Brazil. Conducted by the Observatório Brasileiro do Audiovisual Infantil (OBA!) in partnership with the festival, the survey aims to collect data from professionals, companies, and institutions to inform future market discussions and public policies.
During the event, which runs from October 9 to 17 in Florianópolis, industry representatives gathered to discuss strategies for sector development and the necessity of continuous public policies for children. The festival features a free program including 137 national and international films, workshops, and debates. The event also marks the upcoming 25th anniversary of the festival in 2026 and includes a retrospective exhibition and a closing performance by the musical duo Palavra Cantada.
