Florianópolis extends ISS tax deadlines for hail-affected businesses
The Florianópolis City Hall has issued Decree No. 29.685/2026 to extend the Service Tax (ISS) payment deadlines for service providers affected by recent hail storms in the northern districts of the island.
The decree postpones the September 15 deadline to November 16, and the October 15 deadline to December 15. This measure applies to both variable collection ISS and fixed regime installments for 2026. The extension covers administrative districts including Cachoeira do Bom Jesus, Canasvieiras, Ingleses, Ratones, Rio Vermelho, and several others in the northern region.
To qualify, taxpayers must submit a self-declaration stating their activity was impacted by the hail, such as through business interruption, building damage, or loss of equipment and stock. Applications require photographic evidence and, where available, documentation from Civil Defense, police reports, or insurance claims. The application process begins on September 10 via the municipal services portal, with a deadline of September 30. This measure does not grant tax exemptions or change the amounts due, only the payment schedule. It does not apply to Simples Nacional participants or Microentrepreneurs (MEI).
