Florida A&M and North Florida achieve success in collegiate cross country

In recent collegiate cross country competitions, Florida A&M University and the University of North Florida (UNF) achieved notable results.

At the Willie Laster Cross Country Invitational in Albany, Georgia, the Florida A&M women's team secured the title with 20 points. Rose Muturi led the race in first place with a time of 18:46, followed by teammate Crystal Malaykhan in second. The Rattlers' scoring pack included Niya Coleman and Christina Fitzpatrick, finishing well ahead of runner-up Albany State.

At the Queens City Invitational held at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, UNF saw success in both gender divisions. The UNF men's cross country team placed second overall with 44 points, trailing winner Charlotte by only three points. Alejandro Romagosa led the men with a third-place finish.

The UNF women's cross country team placed fourth in the 5K race with 88 points. Freshman Viktoria Kamml led the Ospreys with a 13th-place finish, followed by Annika Buser in 15th.
