Florida Atlantic University wins FAU Invitational golf and defeats FIU in football

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) secured a one-shot victory at the FAU Invitational men's golf tournament held at The Bear's Club, finishing with a team score of 27-under par. North Florida finished as the runner-up. NaShawn Tyson led the FAU effort with an individual second-place finish at 11-under par.

In collegiate football, Florida Atlantic defeated Florida International 16-10. The Owls' victory was supported by three field goals from Collin Rogers and a defense that forced three turnovers in the first quarter.

In golf competition, Louisiana Tech's Bulldog team ended the first day of the FAU Invitational in fifth place with a team total of -5. Play for the second round was delayed due to lightning.
