Florida Atlantic sweeps Alabama State and Stetson in volleyball

Florida Atlantic University opened the Owls Paradise Classic with two straight-set victories on Friday. The Owls defeated Alabama State 3-0 (25-9, 25-21, 25-19) and swept Stetson 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-16) at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

In the match against Alabama State, Florida Atlantic established an early lead with a 7-0 run. Despite a late push by the Hornets in the second and third sets, the Owls maintained control to secure the sweep. The victory improves Florida Atlantic’s season record to 6-4, while Alabama State falls to 2-9.
