Florida authorities arrest two men following separate homicides

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate homicides involving young women near Lake City, Florida, occurring within a 12-hour period.

In the first incident, deputies conducted a welfare check at an apartment in the 4800 block of U.S. Highway 441 South on Wednesday afternoon. They discovered 16-year-old Ashia La Shai Moore dead from a gunshot wound. Authorities reported that Moore was seven months pregnant at the time of her death. Her 17-year-old boyfriend, identified as Dominique Santonio Hill, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. He is currently being held at the Columbia County Detention Facility without bond.

Approximately 12 hours later, deputies responded to a 911 call at a home on Northwest Moore Road. A 21-year-old woman, identified as Nicole Lopez, was found dead following an alleged domestic dispute. Her boyfriend, 19-year-old Isaiah Campbell, was also arrested in connection with the incident.
