Florida Community Redevelopment Agencies Approve Budgets and New Hospital Project

The South Cape Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) in Cape Coral will have its FY 2027 budget voted on Wednesday. The proposed $8,998,593 budget reflects an increase of $1,286,637 from the May presentation, driven by higher property valuations (up 8.16%) and adjustments to revenue rates. The agenda also includes a contract amendment for a median beautification project and a grant program application.

In Palm Coast, the State Road 100 CRA is moving forward with a $31 million inpatient rehabilitation hospital on an 8.5‑acre site sold to Sanders Trust LLC. The 36‑bed facility, to be operated by ClearSky Health, is expected to create over 100 full‑time professional jobs, generate roughly $45 million in construction activity and produce about $310,000 in annual ad valorem tax revenue for the CRA through 2034, supporting further redevelopment in the Whispering Pines corridor.
