Florida Department (Uruguay) Boosts Services with Staff Training and Neighborhood Upgrades

The Intendencia of Florida, Uruguay, organized a training session for transit and health officials as part of its permanent formation program. The initiative, led by the Institute of Municipal Studies, aimed to enhance professional skills, improve coordination, and raise the quality of public services for residents.

Separately, Intendant Carlos Enciso inspected ongoing works in the Los Cipreses and Jardines del Cortijo neighborhoods. Over 40 days, the administration resurfaced streets, installed 250 drainage pipes, moved 6,670 m³ of material, and prepared two public blocks for a future community space. The project targets better water runoff, durable roadways, and the creation of a participatory public plaza.

Both actions reflect the department’s strategy to strengthen municipal capacity, modernize infrastructure, and engage citizens in improving local living conditions.
