Florida father avoids charges after displaying firearm at bus stop
A Florida father will not face charges after displaying a firearm during a confrontation at a bus stop in Indiantown, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on September 18, following an attack on the man’s son the previous day involving a dispute over pizza from a church fellowship program.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek stated that the father initially attempted to de-escalate the situation when two teenagers approached and began yelling at him. The father then displayed a firearm, causing the youths to back away. The police report noted that the students involved had a history of behavioral issues, while the son had no prior history of problems on the school bus.
