Florida groomer rescues stray dog from severe matting

A stray dog named Lucky was rescued in Oviedo, Florida, after being found in a critical condition on the side of a highway. The dog's fur had become so severely matted into dense, rope-like clumps that he was nearly unable to see, walk, or breathe properly.

After a couple rescued the dog from the roadside, they issued a social media appeal for professional assistance. Kari Falla, a groomer at BGE Grooming, responded to the emergency by opening her salon at 3 a.m. to perform the necessary work. Falla spent the night carefully shaving away the hardened masses, which were estimated to have grown uncontrolled for over two years.

The procedure relieved the physical pressure on the dog's joints and skin, significantly improving his health. Following the rescue and grooming, Lucky has been adopted by Zachary Blair.
