Florida Hospitals Honored for Cardiovascular Care and Safety

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital was recognized with three American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines achievement awards—Stroke Gold Plus Target, Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus Target, and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll—highlighting its sustained use of evidence‑based guidelines for heart disease and stroke treatment.

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital received a four‑star rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, placing it in the top third of hospitals nationwide. It also earned a Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades and an “A” safety grade from The Leapfrog Group. “This is a significant honor that speaks to a deep, organization‑wide commitment to clinical excellence,” said Heather Long, senior vice president of UF Health Central Florida.
