Florida law enforcement apprehend two separate suspects in unrelated incidents
Two separate incidents involving fugitives and law enforcement vehicles occurred in Florida.
In Ormond Beach, 28-year-old Tiffani Driggers fled into the woods to avoid arrest following a trespassing call. After a search involving K-9s and drones, Driggers was located near a wooded peninsula. She reportedly told deputies she was exhausted and unable to cross a canal. Deputies used a citizen’s canoe to reach her and bring her back to shore. Driggers, who had an active felony warrant for violation of probation, was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.
In a separate incident, 42-year-old Shannon Marie Dillon of Fort Lauderdale was arrested after stealing a marked Broward Sheriff’s Office vehicle from a public parking lot. The vehicle was found abandoned nearly 100 miles away in St. Lucie County. Dillon, who was seen wearing a ballistic vest with BSO insignia, faces multiple charges including grand theft of law enforcement equipment, fraud, and impersonation. She is being held on a $52,000 bond.
