Florida man arrested for driving 110 mph to catch cheating girlfriend
Gavin Ames was arrested by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office in Florida after being clocked driving 110 mph in a 60 mph zone. The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on August 1.
When questioned by a deputy regarding his high speed, Ames reportedly stated he was driving to his girlfriend’s house to catch her cheating. Under Florida’s “super speeder” law, driving more than 50 mph over the limit can result in immediate arrest. Ames was taken into custody and placed in a patrol vehicle.
