Florida man delivers baby after obstetrician leaves room

A man in South Florida assisted in the birth of his daughter after the obstetrician left the hospital room and was unable to return in time.

Rosa Jeong, 37, reported that she had been in labor for nearly 18 hours. Although she was only 5.5 cm dilated forty minutes prior to the birth, the delivery progressed much faster than medical staff anticipated.

Jeong's husband, Chris, acted quickly to catch and hold their newborn daughter, Celine, as the birth occurred. Jeong noted that her husband, who works as a local Christian school sports director and has a background in ministry, had never performed a delivery before.
