Two men face legal consequences for crimes involving minors

In separate legal developments, two men face significant consequences for crimes involving minors.

In Florida, Charles “Billy” Danielson, 52, was sentenced to 127.5 months in state prison after pleading no contest to 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials. The investigation, initiated by a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, led to the seizure of electronic devices containing images and videos of children as young as infants. Following his prison term, Danielson will serve four years of sex offender probation, during which he is prohibited from possessing internet-capable devices and must have no unsupervised contact with minors.

In Indiana, Brayton Joseph Arthur, 30, has been charged with three counts of attempted invasion of privacy after allegedly attempting to contact his victims from the Monroe County Jail. Court documents indicate that during a recorded call on September 4, Arthur instructed a third party to speak with two of his alleged victims on his behalf, acknowledging his awareness of existing no-contact orders. Arthur is currently facing eight felony counts of child molestation and remains held in jail with a bond set at $250,000 surety and $50,000 cash.
