Florida men's golf ranked No. 1 in preseason GCAA poll

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has released preseason rankings for the 2026-27 men's college golf season. The University of Florida men's golf team has been named the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, receiving top selections in the GCAA Coaches' Poll, as well as the Golf Channel and Golfweek polls.

Florida enters the season returning four of five starters from a team that won six tournaments last year. Several players, including Luke Poulter, Zack Swanwick, and Jack Turner, have been named preseason All-Americans. The Gators are scheduled to begin their season at the Sahalee Players Championship on September 12-13.

Florida State University's men's golf team is ranked No. 20 in the GCAA poll. Four members of the Seminoles—Shawn Coultoff, Wilmer Edero, Nils-Levi Bock, and Carson Brewer—will compete in the Folds of Honor Collegiate from September 7-9 at the American Dunes Golf Club to open their season.
