Florida offers scenic steam locomotive and themed train rides

Florida offers various scenic train experiences, including historic steam locomotive journeys and themed museum rides.

The Sugar Express, located in Clewiston near Lake Okeechobee, operates a restored steam locomotive that travels between Clewiston and Lake Placid. The route passes through sugarcane farmland and features antique passenger cars, including open-air and air-conditioned options.

In Parrish, the Florida Railroad Museum hosts themed events such as a campfire train for families. While there are currently no dedicated barbecue-themed train rides in the state, the museum provides similar family-oriented rail experiences.
