Florida opens SNAP replacement applications for Hurricane Isaias victims

The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) has opened applications for residents to replace Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits lost due to Hurricane Isaias. The deadline for submission is October 19, 2026.

This replacement initiative is available to current SNAP recipients in 14 specific counties: Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington. Residents in Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jefferson, and Leon counties must provide documentation of a power outage lasting four hours or more via their MyACCESS Florida account. In other participating counties, no additional documentation is required to verify food loss.

Eligible households may receive up to their previously approved monthly SNAP benefits, subject to assessment. This process is not a new program enrollment and does not guarantee approval for all applicants. Notably, the initiative does not include Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties.
