Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning face off in preseason rivalry

The Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning face each other in a preseason matchup at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa. This game marks a continuation of a high-intensity rivalry between the two Sunshine State clubs.

Last year's preseason meeting between the teams was notable for extreme physicality, resulting in 65 penalties and 322 combined penalty minutes. While the current rosters may differ, the competitive nature of the matchup remains a focal point.

For the Lightning, regulars such as Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, and Victor Hedman are expected to be in the lineup, with Andrei Vasilevskiy projected to start in goal. The Panthers are fielding a mix of newcomers and players like Lars Eller and Garnet Hathaway, with Akira Schmid projected to start in goal.
