Florida Panthers invite Nathan Bastian to training camp on PTO

Florida Panthers Nathan Bastian NHL training camp professional tryout unrestricted free agent

The Florida Panthers have invited forward Nathan Bastian to their 2026 training camp on a professional tryout (PTO) basis. The 28-year-old winger, an unrestricted free agent, joins a 51-player roster revealed by the club.

Bastian spent the 2025-26 season with the Dallas Stars organization, appearing in 36 NHL games and recording six goals and one assist. His career includes 312 NHL games played across stints with the New Jersey Devils, Seattle Kraken, and Dallas Stars, totaling 39 goals and 75 points.

Due to new preseason usage rules, Bastian will be limited to appearing in two of Florida’s four preseason games. Given the team is currently near the salary cap ceiling, securing a roster spot may require subsequent roster adjustments or moving players to long-term injured reserve.
