Florida Panthers sign Nathan Bastian to one-year contract
The Florida Panthers have signed right-winger Nathan Bastian to a one-year, two-way contract. The deal carries an $850,000 NHL cap hit and includes a $525,000 salary for time spent with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers, with a total guarantee of at least $575,000 for the 2026-27 season.
Bastian, 28, joined the Panthers following a professional tryout during training camp. He spent the previous season with the Dallas Stars, appearing in 36 games and recording six goals and seven points. Prior to his time in Dallas, Bastian played for the Seattle Kraken and spent the majority of his career with the New Jersey Devils.
The Panthers have placed Bastian on waivers. If he clears, he is expected to be assigned to Charlotte.
