Florida Quantum initiative launched to accelerate statewide innovation

The Florida Quantum initiative was launched at the eMerge Americas Tech Basel AI Summit in Miami. This statewide program aims to accelerate quantum innovation by connecting private industry with government entities to strengthen Florida’s role in the global quantum landscape.

Co-led by Matt Cimaglia of Quantum Coast Capital and Tony Jimenez of Medina Ventures, the initiative works in collaboration with the Florida Alliance for Quantum Technology (FAQT) and eMerge Americas. The effort is intended to complement federal initiatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the White House’s Office of Science & Technology Policy, fostering a sustainable ecosystem for quantum research and commercialization.
