Florida rapper Billy Adams III requests death penalty

Billy Adams III, a Florida rapper known professionally as Ace Nh, has submitted a handwritten letter to a judge requesting the death penalty for the murder of his pregnant partner, Alana Sims.

In 2023, Adams shot and killed 22-year-old Sims while she was five months pregnant. The victim was reportedly traveling to celebrate Adams' acquittal in a separate double homicide case at the time of the attack. Prosecutors stated the motive was Adams' unwillingness to become a father.

A jury previously recommended a life sentence without parole for the murder of Sims and the death penalty for the death of the unborn child. In a legal development, Adams requested that his attorneys present no mitigating evidence during the upcoming sentencing hearing, stating, “I have no problem with the death penalty.”

Judge Mark Wolfe is scheduled to hold the sentencing hearing on December 1, 2026, to determine whether to impose the death penalty or life imprisonment.
