A 39‑year‑old West Palm Beach man, Thomas Dominick Carlevale, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2026 after driving recklessly on U.S. 1, striking an off‑duty deputy’s motorcycle and threatening law‑enforcement officers. He was charged with DUI, assault on a law‑enforcement officer and threatening to kill an officer.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly later arrested a 22‑year‑old Palm Coast driver who was clocked at 125 mph on I‑95, violating Florida’s new “super‑speeder” law. The driver was cited for super‑speeding and willful reckless driving; his bond was set at $500.
In a separate incident, 27‑year‑old Ryan Glenn McDonough was arrested after pointing a handgun at a man in an Islamorada bar bathroom while demanding drugs. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
