Florida State considers rehiring Jimbo Fisher amid coaching struggles

Florida State University is reportedly considering the possibility of rehiring former head coach Jimbo Fisher. According to industry sources, school officials are exploring the option as Fisher, currently an analyst for the ACC Network, has expressed a strong desire to return to coaching.

This potential move follows a period of struggle for the Seminoles under current head coach Mike Norvell. Following a 50-36 loss to No. 10 Alabama, Norvell expressed frustration with the team's performance, stating, “I’m pissed off that we didn’t win the game.” Despite an early 21-6 lead, Florida State surrendered 20 unanswered points late in the first half and struggled defensively, allowing over 550 yards in consecutive games. The loss brings Florida State's record to 1-2 and extends their road losing streak to 10 games.
