Florida State football scrimmage sees QB injury and early standouts

During Florida State's first live scrimmage of fall camp at Doak Campbell Stadium, new quarterback Malachi Marshall was sidelined after a slight injury. Head coach Mike Norvell said the injury was minor and expected Marshall to return to full practice next week, noting the missed reps could slow his integration but did not threaten his long‑term role.

Norvell also highlighted several early preseason standouts. Sophomore running back Ousmane Kromah impressed with his work ethic, while redshirt sophomore wide receiver Micahi Danzy showed progress as a route‑runner and blocker, scoring a touchdown in the scrimmage. On defense, senior safety Ashlynd Barker was praised for his leadership and fit at the rover position.
